Twitter has released the data Transparency Report July-December period in 2014. In that report, seen an increase in requests for delete and ask user privacy information from the Government of Turkey and Russia.
The report, released every two times a year, containing data from a variety of countries. Overall, occur 84 percent increase in requests for information during July-December 2014 compared to the previous six months. As for the overall user information demand increased 40 percent.
Request to remove information from Russia are mentioned almost threefold increase from 33 percent to 91,13 percent. Compared to Russia, Turkey turned out to be more aggressive. In the same period, Turkey was recorded asking delete 477 information and 50 percent are now granted by Twitter. This number is up from 186 in the previous six months.
As for the request for information, in the first half of 2014 Russia simply does not make a request. However, in the July-December 2014 the amount directly reach 108 requests for information. Request information from Turkey also experienced an increase from 24 to 356. But Twitter does not grant the request of Russia and Turkey.
However, Twitter report reveals that the United States (US) is still the country with the largest amount to 1.622 information request. Of that number, 80 percent are now granted Twitter.
Overall, the request user information during July-December 2014 from 58 different countries amounted to 2, 871, up from 2.058 in the previous period. While the removal request information reached 796 from 31 countries, up from 433.
